To help you submit a valid certificate we have provided this on-line system. The process and information requested follows the guidelines provided by the IRS when collecting certificates using an electronic system. The information gathered is fundamentally the same as the information collected on a paper form or information attached as supporting documentation.
 
Throughout the process you will see the help symbol , which provides access to help on the specific areas and a Glossary of Terms. If you enter information that may not be consistent or expected, guidance messages will pop up to help you check your choice at each stage. The flow chart below provides an insight into the steps you will move through. If you have any questions about this process, first see the FAQ section. If the answer to your question isn’t there please consult your tax advisors or email whtcomply@bp.com. We will respond as soon as possible although we are unable to provide specific tax information guidance.
